I ran like hell way out of his aoe reach and he still KO’d me…. not sure how far I have to run… maybe out of the gate? I ran a good 150 meters from him.

At my previous reply, I got it. You just have to lure him to the opposite side from the gate, then run almost out of the gate when he does his massive aoe.

I died 4 times trying it the way this guide suggests. However, if you run as fast as you can to the other side of the rocks behind the bogeyman, you should survive. Just don’t hug them. put as much distance between you and the bogeyman with the rock structure in the middle and you should make it.

You don’t have to run from this devastating attack at the end. Just go into the ruins behind the boogy man. This seems to be the intended safespot for this attack.
