(If you don’t want a walkthrough but just the quick solutions to the staff puzzle, scroll the the bottom!)

Tier 1:

Objective: Activate The Staff.  (Look in your inventory for something that looks a bit like a thumb print)

Once the staff is clicked, you’ll see plants along the path spontaneously combust.   Follow them, condemning more poor bushes to their fiery doom as you make your way to the altar.

Altar is at:  362, 608

Objective:  Examine the Altar then Activate the Staff in your inventory.

From User Rob:

“The staff is in hebrew, and you are basically summoning the plagues of egypt to stop the sun god. Using wikipedia on plagues of egypt you can find the matching hebrew characters for each plague. Remember that hebrew reads/writes right to left.”

Objective:  Solve the puzzle.   There are 2 ways to do it..  “The Unfair” way..  which is Click Random Things Until You Get Lucky!  (or frustrated)   or the proper way..  The idea is to match the image you see when examining the altar to the images on the staff.  This isn’t always obvious, so we’ve created an easier way for you to see what to do.

Tier 4 solution is incorrect it should be שֶך as the second step and חוֹ as the first step

  2. To fill in the blank to some of the why of this puzzle. The staff is in hebrew, and you are basically summoning the plagues of egypt to stop the sun god. Using wikipedia on plagues of egypt you can find the matching hebrew characters for each plague. Remember that hebrew reads/writes right to left. The right to left part killed me. Also, I was hung up on the arabic, which I never fully understood. The surroundings prompted the corresponding plague. Maybe someone else can post something about the Arabic.

The Arabic on the alter, if typed into google translate and translated to Hebrew is the same word. The 2nd one is the only one that doesn’t make sense. I do not know how you make those characters (because Arabic does some weird letter morph stuff when certain letter combos are put together), and translating the word “hail” into Arabic doesn’t look anything like what the tablet shows. The rest so far seem to be spot on though.

The last one in Arabic is too hard for me to manage to reproduce. Also you have almost zero time to think :)

    • TheMuppetMan says:

I did the same thing with google, only i used the virtual keyboard to type in the Arabic. I guessed on the last one, it was long so i put in the two longest options and got it first try haha.

    • Synkronos says:

The game uses the wrong word for hail on the second one. The text they use (وابل) means ‘barrage’ (as in, a hail of bullets). The arabic for weather hail is برد.
